What Are We Doing?
The students are learning about water and erosion. This unit helps students develop the idea that water is a powerful force that reshapes the earth’s surface. Students see that water isn’t just something we drink. It carries sand to create beaches, carves out canyons and valleys and, as ice, scrapes entire areas flat
What Can I Do With My Family
Here are some things you and your family can do together:
1. Go on a nature walk and see if you can find a river, lake, creek, or stream. Take some pictures of the water you found. You can email the pictures to Mrs. Sturk (go to the "Contact" page) and I will add them to this web page.
2. Ask your family if they have a story to tell about a river, lake, ocean, or stream.
3. Go play with your family in one of the nearby lakes, rivers or streams. Draw a picture of the fun time you had. Make sure an adult is with you when you play in the water.
